About book 1022 Evergreen Place (2010)

Ok, I think it is best that I don't read this series while watching it on TV. The TV version changed the story in many cases, not to mention the fact that most if not all of the actors chosen do not look the way I pictured them from Debbie's description in the books.Other then that, 1022 is the home of Mack McAfee and in unit B, Mary Jo Wyse and baby Noelle. We have two weddings, too many unplanned pregnancies, the mystery of the WWII love letters solved, the louse known as Will Jefferson is still around being a louse, added to his tribe is fellow louse - Leonard Bellamy who is using his wealth and bully status to destroy his daughter's marriage, happiness and husband Linc. Oh, I almost forgot about Jolene, teenage daughter of Bruce. I blame Bruce for not listening better and helping her after the death of her mom. Maybe if he considered Jolene's emotional health, he would have waited to marry Rachel. Now Rachel is forced to leave because of Jolene's constant verbal and emotional abuse towards her and her pregnancy...I can't wait to see how this will resolve. On a good note, Faith and Troy get married (finally), Ben somehow gets David to sign a release of his claim on Noelle, Mack and Mary Jo get married. I've read all of this series in order and here's what we've learned about Cedar Cove residents:1. Everyone is aware that birth control exists. No one is apparently aware that you have to actually use it. A good number of women in town have unplanned pregnancies:GraceCorrieMary EllenMary JoGloriaCeciliaRachel(although these two got pregnant while married, both had explicitly stated or their husbands had that they were not intending for that to be the case).2. If you get pregnant and you aren't married to the father, the very best course of action is not to tell him about the baby and just raise it alone, never knowing its father (Mary Ellen and Gloria both thought this was a grand idea). 3. If you meet someone you have a real connection with, you should push him away repeatedly (every woman in town).4. If someone says they don't want to be with you, you should stalk them until they change their mind (Grace with Cliff, James with Christie).5. No one ever means it when they say they don't want to be with you. They will always come around if you stalk them long enough and force them to have conversations with you that go nowhere because neither of you can communicate your true feelings (everyone in town, most specifically in this book Mary Jo and Mack, Christie and James).6. Safeway is where you will always run into the love of your life who you will have an awkward, go nowhere conversation with (see #5).7. When trying to prove to a woman that she can trust men, that you're not like the guy who broke her heart, you should lie to her (Mack lying about owning the apartment complex). 8. You should do nothing legally at all to deal with the father of your child, even when he's threatened you. Also, you should totally believe that a man with no job, who does not pay child support or see his other child at all, and who owes everyone in the world will have a reasonable shot at getting custody of the child he's taken no interest in at all. (Mary Jo and David).9. You should totally allow a 13-year-old brat to run your life. (Rachel and Jolene).10. If you're an old fashioned kind of guy, you shouldn't bother with a real courtship or meeting the parents of the woman you marry. You should marry her after knowing her for two seconds and then be flabbergasted that her parents aren't totally on board. And one bonus - although both of you work and one of you has enough savings to start his own business, you somehow can't afford to move into your own apartment that you pay for (Lori's father owns the building she lives in with Linc). Somehow you can make all other bills, but not rent on a cheap one-bedroom.

Do You like book 1022 Evergreen Place (2010)?

For goodness sake Mary Jo and Mack, get over it and be a couple. Ugh.
