About book A Demon Bound (2013)

This is a hysterical series. The narrator has no shame, feels no guilt and enjoys being a demon. I was getting tired of reading urban fantasy with a guilt-ridden hero/heroine who had to suffer through being beautiful, deadly and a vampire or something. I always wondered what they had to be depressed about--The fact that they always have two handsome men fighting over them? Tough life. Anyway, the Imp series' heroine feels no guilt about her crazy life as a demon, slum landlord, real estate wiz and all around Bad Girl. This series is a new guilty pleasure to read. Had potential. MC is a demon with an impish evil streak and does shit like knocking teenaged boys on their asses by opening her car door when they're running by, and swerving her car to purposely hit jaywalkers. She's got a potty mouth and spews hilariously grotesque shit like, "I need a salad otherwise I won't be able to shit for a week". She's a slum lord who jacks the price up of every service she can possibly think of. She's as immoral and crass as they come. I loved it.Then she started drooling over her 20 something year old, video game obsessed neighbor. It was entertaining. At first. Then it became pathetic, annoying, and OOC. She also had no idea what a werewolf was even though she's centuries old and has lived on earth for over 40 years. This book had potential but I just couldn't get past the whole badass demon being reduced to a love struck tart. Did not finish.

This should be 3.5 because I loved it because of its glorious trashiness, not in spite of it.

This book was fucking insane and yet unexpectedly awesome. Certainly different.
