About book A Hope Undaunted (2010)

I received the first two books of this series as a gift... so I decided I better try them out. I have to say, the O'Connor family has endeared themselves to me. Faith... Charity... Elizabeth... and now Katie. -The youngest, and slight spoiled, shall we say, daughter of Patrick and Marcy.A Hope Undaunted was an interesting, thrilling, crazy read just like the Daughters of Boston series. I was pleased with the spiritual content, the journeys of faith that the characters go through, the big lessons learned, the deep conversations. Julie Lessman's books have a point, and I really like that.Once again, I was uncomfortable with the amount of sensuality in some scenes... though I did feel there might have been less in this book. And I did get slightly annoyed with the passionate kissing scenes, mostly because they were angry! I just got a little tired of them acting so foolishly. All in all though, a pretty good book, I have to say. Some really good points. Big, happy family scenes... :). Working through marriage struggles with all our former main characters. Besides a few sensual scenes and such, A Hope Undaunted was a good story. Eh, not my cup of tea. I found it boring. It was my book clubs pick this month, therefore, I had to finish reading it. Otherwise, I would not have finished the book. There was no action, no adventure, no real conflict. One another note, I stopped really reading it at about page 300, then I just started reading the quotations, and skim reading in between. There was noting shocking or exciting about this book, nor did it make my heart skip a beat.
