About book A Thread Of Truth (2009)

When Ivy Peterman shows up in New Bern, she is taken in by the Cobbled Court Quilt Circle and instantly has many new friends. They realize she is hiding something, but wait for Ivy to open up. As the friends help and support Ivy through this difficult time in her life, they also renew their own friendships and the values they hold dear. This is the second book in the Cobbled Court Quilts series and I enjoyed it as much as the first. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the next cozy volume right away. Definitely recommended! This was an excellent read for me. It is the second book in a series called the Cobbled Court Series, hence it brought back many of the characters from the first book, A Single Thread. This story was grittier and more graphic, in many different ways, but not offensively so. I got very involved in this book and found it hard to put down. I found my bodily functions reacted strongly to events in it (eg pounding heart, general anxiety, goosebumps) This author is an awesome story teller, and is obviously very knowledgeable about the subjects about which she writes ( in this case, quilting, domestic violence, strong women and those in transition) Even though I rarely read faith-based( Christian) novels as I have found them to be too sugar coated for my tastes, the ones written by this author are not like that at all. I like the way she interweaves different points of view, as well as past and present events in such a way to round out the story. I can find little to critique about this book ( although I know many will)and would recommend it to any woman who enjoys a good story.

Do You like book A Thread Of Truth (2009)?

It was a cute little story.....one of a series. A nice diversion from "heavy" reading.

Love the characters. What's not to love about a quilting novel?
