About book A To Z (2010)

I enjoyed Promises more than this one. It was hard to get past the alternating pov/tense changes. I think that was to help differentiate between voices but it was quite clear without doing that. The other thing they really got me was Angelo's way of thinking. Loosing every g in ing words even in prose was distracting for me. Same for 'round and 'bout. It slowed up the story enough for me that I spent too much time being angry over that. Those things aside, I enjoyed the story. It was a good plot. And while the characters drove me nuts sometimes... I like that too. Most people do as well! Definitely recommend. Would've been another four star if not for the pov issues I had. Book #2 in the Coda SeriesI really waited too long to write up my review - but here's what stands out for me almost 2 months later. Zach starts out by being someone who just doesn't give much of a shit. He didn't care about his education, he didn't care about his relationship with Jonathan. He doesn't care about his career. He coasts through life. He really doesn't care about his so-called relationship with Tom, his landlord except that being with Tom gets him a break on rent and occasionally laid. That changes once he gets close to Angelo. Caring for Angelo gives him a reason to care about everything else in his life. Caring for Angelo helps him build new friendships with Matt & Jared. People he probably would have let fall by the wayside if he wouldn't have had Angelo to help him give a shit about life in general. He even begins to build a new friendship with Jonathan and Cole.I like the way he and Angelo help each other grow. They each have issues and being with each other helps them become better men.
