About book All We Know Of Love (2013)

I don't really know how I feel about this book. In thought it was well-written but it left me somewhat dissatisfied. I guess I had expected Natalie to learn something from the people she had encountered and not just read their stories and wonder if Natalie heard any of it and learned from them or if the moral of the story was just to be that everyone has struggles regardless of whether Natalie learned anything. Them the whole Sarah situation really confused me. That story line was there but I feel like it didn't really serve a purpose in the end. She basically said that she essentially ditched her for Adam but nothing really became of it at the end on behalf of Natalie. Then what really bugged me was that when she turns her phone on at the airport when she's stuck and hears the voicemail from her supposed best friend but instead if taking five minutes to call her she ran off to go buy food and tell a personal story to some guy she essentially just met. Like, in all of this and with everything with Adam did she not learns anything? She couldn't have called and then gone off with him? I don't know. That bugged me. First of all this book was given to me by my uncle. It was in a box with many other books (!) that he got at a book expo (or something like that) and since then it has been a dream of mine to go to a book expo (or whatever it's called!)I read it immediately and I remember really liking it. When I read it the first time, the main character, Natalie, would have been older than me. But now, I got a few years on her. I think the age of the character can make a difference to the reader. But anyway, the story is about Natalie and her search for love. Her mother left her when she was in middle school, and four years later, Natalie decides to search for her. Her walked out mid sentence, and Natalie desperately wants to know the rest of what she was going to say. It was about love.My favorite part is the quote under each chapter. I liked learning about other people's stories, but I think they're also unnecessary. Adam is such a loser and Natty needs to learn that. Poor Sarah, the typical ''when a girl gets a guy, friends go out the window'' scenario. I also liked the ending; coincidence, or something more?I would recommend it, but definitely for younger teens.
