About book As Filhas Do Assassino (2010)

this novel tracks the lives of two little girls - sisters- after the murder of their mother by their fatherit's about the emotional and psychological effects of domestic violence and childhood trauma on the growth of the children and their relationships with othersafter they grow up, one of them considered her father is dead and denied his existence trying to succeed in her work and marital life, the other sister gets into disturbed relationships with wrong men but kept a connection with her father in prisonthe writer showed their pain and struggles through their lives and how they confronted their past and move forwardat last, we can't erase the painful past but at least try not to allow it to control the future The story telling of when the girls were young was sad but I feel they fared better than most children in their situation. As they grew older I wanted to shake them because they were both in professions where mental health professionals were available and they took no steps toward helping themselves. The dynamics between them and their father was redunted and I wish the aurthor explored other relationships deeper because why were these characters even in the book
