About book At Year's End (2014)

I've skipped around in this series. It took me a minute to get reacquainted with the 2 million characters that make up this assassin/shifter/gods universe, but once I did, the book flowed easily. The books in this series have been hit or miss for me. This one falls squarely in the middle. I'd read a couple of the previous books that introduced Elijah and Jaxon, so I was familiar with their back story and was curious to see how they'd finally get together. Elijah is only 17, and he seems very young to me throughout the story. His being in a boy band didn't help matters (although I found it amusing). Jaxon patiently waits for Elijah to turn 18, so he can claim his mate. Even after Elijah turns 18 (after much buildup) and he goes through some trauma, he and Jaxon still seem mismatched in the maturity department. In the end, although I found both MCs to be likable, I had a hard time buying them as a couple. Oh Holy Mother of Mary. This book floored me. I laughed, I cried and then I laughed again. It takes one hell of a talented writer to take you through so many emotions in just one book and I went through a box of tissues on this one.Jaxon's love for Elijah just killed me. When they finally came together, I was just blown away. It was sweet and sexy and our little Elijah showed us he was little no more.LOVE the Olympian aspect in this book and was so happy to see "Hepatitis" make an appearance! lolThe Salvatore necklaces are finally explained and I ran right over to Ebay and bought one.I don't think this author could write anything I don't like. She continues to prove she has what it takes for the long haul! And Killian as a puppy? Priceless....
