I liked the H/h here a lot. Eveline especially is a strong and admirable heroine. We like her even more because she was not weakened by her disability; in fact, she even used it to her advantage.Greame is also a strong and reasonable leader to his clan and sweet as a husband. I was happy to see that like a good hero, the heroine had him wrapped around her finger (in a good way).The supporting characters here were also standouts, especially Rorie. I liked the loyalty of the families and the care the Armstrong gave to Eveline – even though they did smother her a bit. I found it believable that with their overly concern and need to protect Evenline, they weren’t able to stand back far enough to assess what was wrong with her with an objective eye like Graeme/Rorie were able to do.If I have any complaint, it was that the story was predictable. Even so, I enjoyed it..and I loved the ending when both clans – previously strong enemies – worked together and by the end became a family. I love this book for the way it handled a special needs situation. This allowed this book to have more purpose than simply entertainment. We've come a long way in diagnosing and treating special needs but in many ways our reactions to people who are different is just as archaic as this story was from so long agoUnique stories and believable characters get me everytime. Make it sexy and I'm a goner.
