About book Bad Boys Do - Pria Penggoda (2011)

Donovan Brothers Brewery – Jamie Donovan – youngest brother – typical player in younger days – and is charming; runs the front house of the family Brewery; blames self for death of father and mother, who killed in car accident when going to pick him and friends up from a party he wasn’t supposed to be at, where he had been drinking; Eric – older brother – took responsibility of siblings when parents died, and the running of the family brewery; too autocratic; lonely… Tessa has found her and is happily finding her balance, but trying to keep peace between brothers and the family partnership;Olivia Bishop: year divorced from older, professor husband – spent 10 years cultivating herself to be what her husband wanted; instructor at university on businesses…Meets Jamie when ‘book club’ meets at the bar… then he shows up in her class; he wants to learn how to create a business plan that to bring food into the bar… one that would be accepted by his family; And they help each other move out of their comfort zones… she to loosen up, he to apply himself to a more serious frame of mind… they have a fight… she finishes his portfolio, and presents it to his brother… and when his brother finally reads through it, and sees it is good, he gives the go ahead – though Jamie wants total control of it – and Eric must respect it… and Olivia goes off on her own for a week… resigns from teaching, and takes steps to start her own business consulting business…and then he goes to Olivia to thank her… and all is well."If things went wrong at the brewery, people turned to his older brother, Eric. And his sister, Tessa, only called when Jamie got up to trouble.""Jamie had sworn off women for a while, but he'd make an exception for her. She was different. Calm and mature. Responsible and sharp. Maybe she'd be good for him. A positive step on the new path hew was taking.""She'd approach fun the way she approached everything: with logic and calm. Logic, calm and a crazed, thundering heart. It seemed that fun wasn't easy to trick, because by the time she reached Jamie's place she couldn't hear anything past her rushing pulse.""Was she brave? She didn't feel brave. At first she'd felt terrified, then overwhelmed. Now she felt exhilarated and slightly bewildered. But she also felt happy. Happier than she could remember feeling in a very long time." Oh, Jamie. I had a feeling I was going to love you and boy was I right. For the perpetual screw-up, Jamie has a pretty good head on his shoulders (and beneath his kilt it seems). I really loved watching him come into his own and finally stand up for the things he wants: respect, responsibility, Olivia...Olivia: so much love for her. She takes her life back and learns to live it the way she wants. Between tapping in to her sensual side, to making that final break with her past to embracing her future, she handles it all with strength, poise and real grit. She is awesome. They fit together, too. Jamie and Olivia really give each other what they need: someone to believe in and support them while they navigate these new paths. They don't force one another, don't serve as a crutch, but more a guiding hand. They bring out the best in each other even though it's hidden away. I love them as a couple. The side characters were great, too. Victor is a pompous sleezeball, Allison a naive fool, Gwen a hoot, Phillip adorable and then there's Eric. Eric, Eric, Eric. You, sir were an ass and a half. But underneath it all, I can see the strain and I just know your book is going to be amazing. I can't wait to see you shaken loose and unwound. A great second installment to a series I am loving!
