This was the second time I tried to read this book. I gave up after 50 pages. However, I am incredibly stubborn and really wanted to finish the series, so I started over again.The book is fast-paced, but starts in the middle of a new plot twist: Vayl has lost his memory. It isn't until almost two-thirds of the way through the book he gets it back and we realize the main plot line has been ignored until then. There is only one book left in the series, and I have loved it up till this one. There was a lot of good stuff here, but it was obviously a link to the endgame.If you have not read this series, I strongly recommend you read them one after another. Otherwise, keep a cheat sheet. Very complicated world view. Jaz Parks is an assassin for the CIA. She is deadly, has lots of toys and is in love with her boss, a vampire. But things are not going so well with her in the seventh book of the series. Vayl and Jaz arrive in Morocco looking for an artefact to free her from the demon stuck in her head. Only Vayl thinks it is 1777 and Jaz is his housekeeper. Cole as always has some great lines in the book and Bergman really comes into his own. I'm still unsure of robokitty though she does provide a good soundtrack to the novel. It must be getting quite crowded in Jaz's head, not only does she have her Granny living there, a teen version of herself, the lush, her alto ego Lucille but now a demon. What is a girl to do?
