About book Black Canary And Zatanna: Bloodspell (2000)

Paul Dini gives us an original "Fishnet Brigade" team-up between Black Canary and Zatana, set in what looks more or less like the Justice League DCAU continuity -- which is a rare non-New-52 treat these days. Indeed, this could very well be a JL two-parter, and a memorable one at that. The story isn't that complicated, but it's good fun. Joe Quinones' art is occasionally uneven, but it's still clean and pleasant. I'd give this a 3.5, but for the sake of something coming out of DC that isn't New 52, I'll round up. Happy to have bought this, and would be pleased to buy more. This was a fun read. Girls that Canary helped get out of a robbery a year ago start turning up as suicides. The main suspect died over a year ago during the robbery so Canary goes to Zatanna for help since magic was involved the original case. Canary and Zatanna have a fun friendship. The story periodically flashes back to Zatanna and Canary meeting for the first time and Zatanna joining the Justice League. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more.

Do You like book Black Canary And Zatanna: Bloodspell (2000)?

Meh, the plot was really weak in my opinion. I was expecting more.Note: Not for your kiddos.

Fun and lighthearted story from Dini - as lighthearted as magic and bloodspells can be.
