About book Blurred Lines (2015)

SAM'S REVIEW5 STARSOne of my best friends had been recommending Chloe Walsh to me for so long, and I kind of want to kick my own ass for holding out!It has taken me WEEKS to find words for this review because THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I shit you not, my heart, body, mind and soul just seriously ache! From the very first page, I was invested into this heart wrenching story of a little girl and boy who are the best of friends. But this isn't just a friendship, this is a connection between two young souls who love and adore each other from such a young age. Cade and Kenzie spend every given moment together and the journey you are taken on watching them take on hormones and feelings toward each other was so real and expressive. But at the age of just 15, still so young and innocent, the whole world falls apart for these characters, they are ripped from each other in such an excruciating and brutal way that you do not know what the hell is gonna happen! I found myself curled up, sobbing my heart out and wanting to climb into my kindle and do everything to stop all of the pain Cade and Kenzie were going through!Time and experiences change people, and after such a long time, they are reunited. But so much has happened, changes are in place and both Cade and Kenzie are completely different people. For many reasons.Supporting characters made me want to invest in a chainsaw and hit em up with something resembling Texas Chainsaw Massacre. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!! I'm talking HATE! So much HATE for these characters, I'm not sure they will EVER be redeemable! But I'm ok with that! I believe in Karma and I hope each of the characters who inflicted and added to the agony both characters were already feeling, will sure as hell get their share of pain! Chloe Walsh has written a story that consumes you. The feels are absolutely out of this world. I was taken on a rollercoaster of emotions and as an avid reader that is the one thing I crave from a new book. Chloe Walsh has delivered something absolutely SPECTACULAR! Everyone reading this review, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!! That ending ripped my insides out and is holding them prisoner and I LOVE EVERY DAMN SECOND OF IT! HEATHER'S REVIEW5 STARSCade and Kenzie have loved each other basically since the time they met at 10 years old. They became fast best friends and were inseparable. As they started to grow up, those feeling started to blossom into something more. A profound love that is so rare is people so young. At the tender age of 15 they are ripped apart in such a way that you wonder how can they ever recover? When they are reunited after 3 years everything has changed and not for the best. Lives altered forever. While reading this book, I felt so many things. I felt Cade's struggle and his heartache. At times I wanted to reach into my kindle and hug him while simultaneously punching him in the face. My heart broke for Kenzie and she had gone through yet her strength was inspiring. With a cast of secondary characters who are mostly horribly human beings who really enhanced the story and added an authenticity that only Chloe Walsh could create. The plot line is not an easy one to read. I cringed at what these characters went through and felt every ounce of pain they felt. I was immersed into this story from page one and the end left me breathless and rooting for Kenzie who it one of the best heroines of 2015. Blurring Lines is not your average love story. It is dark, at times brutal and utterly beautifully heart breaking. Chloe's words invoke every feeling imaginable and some you didn't even know existed. This is not a book you read. This is a book you feel deep into your soul and experience in your heart.

This book gutted me!******spoilers ahead********Every once in a while you find a book that speaks to you on numerous levels, this book did it for me. As a survivor, it refreshing to see that someone gets it. While reading this book I was crying during 85% of it! A book like this is why I read! A book that makes you feel, makes you bleed. I loved the main character of Mackenzie(Kenz). She's a survivor and doesn't realize it yet! I hope there's more books where I can see her develop into the strong, independent, loving, courageous woman I know she will be! Kenz is broken. She will never be the same person again. She needs to find the new Kenz. She is not going to find herself in that small town where she was born. They are too closed minded to get what happened to her. It's a shame when the victims get victimized all over again. No one stood up for Kenz when she came back. Not really! They all closed their eyes to what was going on around them. Cade, who I truly believes loves Kenz, never stood up for her. He let Emily and his mother say horrible things to her and about her! Kenz just wanted someone to choose her...finally! He never did that! Emily is a manipulator. She's evil. Do I think she's pregnant. NO! If she is its not Cade's. He needs to open his eyes! Let's talk about Mitch. His daughter was kidnapped, raped, and used in the most brutal of ways for 3 years. When he gets her back, he permits his new wife to say horrid things about her. They live together. He never hears the vile she spews. unlikely! If anyone is toxic it's her. I think Kenz is right to leave. She needs to heal. Mind, body and soul. I hope and pray that this saga is not over! Please, give Kenz her happily ever after! She deserves it!Now, I'm gonna go read some more books by this author!

Young LoveWow. I just finished this book mere seconds ago. I haven't even stopped to clear my mind to think of what I'm going to write.I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest and stomped on. This is one book I'm never going to forget.Do you believe that you can fall in love at the tender young age of ten? It doesn't matter what your answer is. This is the heartbreaking story of Mackenzie and Cade told in both POV's. They will make a believer out of you.Young Mackenzie is stolen from her beloved Cade at a very young age, taken for almost four years. She's tortured and abused over and over to the point to which she can't remember her own name. Only one name is on her lips. One name that haunts her but keeps her alive. Cade. Poor Cade. His young love was stolen from him. Minutes turn to days which turn to months which turn to years. Physically and emotionally sick with worry and horrible thoughts, he blames himself for not protecting her. Friends and family tell him he has to move on. So he does, but one name is ever present in his heart and mind. Mackenzie. Then one day she is found and returned to the love of her life. However, she's different. She's broken. She finds out that things have changed. Her beloved Cade is there and he loves her more than ever. But things have changed and not all for the good. This is the first book that I've read by this author and I applaud her work. I am so enthralled by her work. My emotions were everywhere with this book. I'm not ashamed to say that I immersed myself whole heartedly in this book and have ugly cried since I finished it. My eyes are also bloodshot because I refused to put this book down and it's the wee hours of the morning. I can't wait to read other books by this author. She has the uncanny ability to draw you in and make you feel for the characters. Not only did she nail the main characters but the secondary ones also. I gave this book 5 stars because of the brilliant writing but also because the author was able to bring emotions out of me that I haven't felt in a long time. Ok, there are some problems with the editing especially towards the end but who cares when the book is so good? Does it end in a happily ever after? Find out yourself!! Lastly, this better not be the end of Kenzie and Cade. (wink, wink)
