And because it's about balance, the worldbuilding ties into the relationship very well - certainly better than in previous books. There's still the inevitability of a romance, and I'm wondering if that will clash against the worldbuilding at some point, if it just guarantees a happily-ever-after. Do You like book Branded By Fire (2009)?
Wow. By far the best book in the series. I loved the banter and the sexual chemistry in the book along with the character development. The story line was believable and the drama was realistic. Like I say all the time about this series, I love that the author doesn't try to have this epic drama in every single book. Every book slowly expands on the previous and I am so completely engrossed in this series. I loved this book because both Mercy and Riley gave in to their urges rather than suppressing them. Five fucking amazing stars for this book. Also, I'm super interested in the birds story line and now I really want to read about a Kit and Sienna story line. On to the next!

This book's romance has two top changelings one from the leopards and the other from the wolves fall for each other. The wolf has a hard time with the relationship since she is a dominate and she doesn't want to submit to her leopard lover. Lots of frustration in the relationship so they can have hotter makeup sex. The Psy are dealing with someone controlling them and having them kill humans and changelings. Not too much new is pushed on that end of the plot except for a gesture that Sascha's mother sends her a book that should help her use her empathy.

Love Singh's strong women and strong couples. Mercy in particular has been fun to read about.
