I enjoyed this third episode from the Wayne County Wolves series. Stephani Hecht is very good at writing series of books with characters that draw you in. It becomes a bit like following a soap on TV because you get engrossed in the continuity of the characters, and what happens next, and who ends up with who. I have read all the books in her EMS Heat series and I am making my way through her Lost Shifter series and of course this series (Wayne County Wolves).These are very entertaining books: short, sweet, and easy to read. For me they fit nicely in between some of my longer and more complicated books. I enjoy reading these because they aren't too demanding but they are interesting and also comforting too. I also like the characters, their on going battles with their enemies and the way love comes in to find them sometimes in the most unexpected ways. The best thing of all is that these are shifter books and there is always a HEA and some angst, but not too much. Nice safe, comfortable reads to keep me going. Another cute story for the series. I was a bit confused at the beginning when Braxton said he a nobody with health issues and can't even shift. It's implied that he just doesn't have the ability at all as opposed to he hasn't reached the age to actually shift yet. Wright seemed just a tad bit wimpy, following his sister's lead (then find out later he is actually the oldest of them) but redeems himself. Defeat.. she seriously needs a smack down that sticks.
