An exciting beginning with the unexpected meeting of two lost and scarred souls. Cameron and Lacey see something in each other and can't help the attraction. In the end, Cameron just takes her with him and offers her a new beginning. Up to this to this point, all is good and you can't help but feel attached to both characters. However, after that the story grows slow and more boring, without any major events happening. A happy ending that was easy to see coming but could have use some more action considering we are dealing with ex-special forces. I liked that this one started out with the "brothers" and what happened to them. I think it allowed you to understand them as you met each one.I was really happy that Cameron was there to save Lacey and that he took her under his wing. Their experiences caring for each other and the road trip built a strong foundation for friendship and more, a good thing as Cameron ran even as he got what he wanted.I really liked how Lacey fit in at the compound, loved that Alex took her under his wing and gave her some great advice. It was much needed. I did like how Lacey dealt with Cameron when he was still fighting things. It was the right thing to do. I loved how Lacey ripped all 3 brothers a new one when they needed it, but was really glad when Cameron finally admitted to Lacey what he wanted, her.
