When I read the first book in this series, Grey Eyes, I didn’t think I would be interested in reading Brown Eyes, the second book. But, since I had already purchased it before I read the first book, I decided to give the second book a go. I am so glad I did! In Brown Eyes, we follow Ana through her transition into full understanding of who she is and was. We also watch her commit to her purpose. Her choices in love are much more difficult – she realizes just how much she loves Darren, but still feels a deep, soulful connection with Tristan. While there were still a few typos in Brown Eyes, it was nothing compared to the first book. In fact, I would say that the typos in Brown Eyes were within an “acceptable” range. The story flowed much better; gone were the paragraphs that I had to try and make sense of. I also felt that the twists and turns in this book were ALL believable and transitions from one scene to the next were notably smoother in Brown Eyes. All in all, I would say that Brown Eyes definitely redeemed the trilogy for me. I was excited to read the third book. In fact, I started it the very same night I finished Brown Eyes. I was very distracted by the grammar, spelling and syntax errors in this book. The story like was a combo of about six different series I have already read so it did not seem that original but there were many many errors in this book. The third in the series did not have as many errors and the storyline kind of redeemed itself in the end but the series came off to me as kind of spoofy and this one actually had a line out of another series I will not name, swear to God. I can understand what the authors are trying to accomplish by doing it as an Ebook but please, if you ever actually publish this on paper have someone who knows grammar and syntax read it first. I am one of those people who don't use the abbreviations when texting so I might just be being a little harsh. Or, the, if, and, left out in places that they were required and many other words as well as sentences being constructed in improper order. There were sentences that started one way and you could still tell what the point was but it annoys me and makes it difficult to concentrate on the story line. Please keep that in mind for your future series you have planned.
