Stories like this with prologues describing the climax of the story do not work for me. I try to be patient, but a third of the way into it, I can't help but fast forward to the action part. Though it's gratifying, and I have the background of the characters from reading the beginning of the story, the whole denouement ends up not feeling real or meaningful.Yes, I realize that most of it is due to my impatience. But if we get such a tantalizing taste of what's to come, how can we wait 75,000 words for it when skipping forward is so easy? UPDATE: 4.9I reread this book and realized this book is everything. it made me bawl my eyes out. THIS IS AN AMAZING BOOK. VERY WELL MADE. EXCELLENT JOB AMY.I did even know what this book was about. I never read the plot thing of this. So when I first read the prologue of this book, I was amazed how his life became that fucked up and I was beyond intrigued and also at the same time amused. So I continued reading the book...This book contains sexuality and I don't really have a Problem with it. Why would I? Love is love and it's not meant to be judged. Anyways, the arrangement of events, the characters, the drama, we're so beautifully done and so diverse. The drama was somehow the normal drama people face with everyday but it wasn't shallow. There was a much deeper meaning as to why it went out like that. They made decisions and those decisions affected all of those who are involved.
