About book Damaged And The Knight (2000)

3.5 StarsI liked this one soooo much better than the first one! Judd was definatley swoon worthy. I liked Tawny but at times she really ticked me off. Now there was sex in this one but it wasn't writted a dirty as I like and the sex scenes were really short but there was a lot of them so I guess this will do. I think I will eventually read the whole series. The authors writing was so much better this time around so I believe with every book in the series she will get better and better. This second installment takes up where Damaged and the Beast ended...Cooper sends his enforcer Judd to rescue Farah's sister Tawny from the motel where she is hiding. It started off really exciting and I was happy to get to see the story from Tawny's perspective...then again it had parts that thrilled me and parts that annoyed the crap out of me! First of all, Tawny really comes across as being more than just damaged...you can't really change the fact that she is a very immature 17 year old. Sure, she had a really rough life and endured way more than the average teenager, but she immediately latches on to and romanticizes an HEA with her much older knight in shining armor and it was way too much too fast (especially since she was so abused before). Both sisters became enamored with the very thing that damaged them so much...bikers...and where I was annoyed with sister Farah's constant crying and wishy washy feelings, I was equally irritated with Tawny's constant self-loathing. A few times at relevant moments would have been enough...but all the way through the book...I wanted to yell at her "this is why you are too young for Judd...not the age difference"!So after all my ranting I will say that I really did like this book a lot...maybe as much if not more than the first. Bailey's character and dialogue and general behavior cracked me up...I was literally laughing during some of her bullying scenes...her book will be hilarious I'm sure and she will be a tough one for any guy to pin down!I was really relieved to see a resolve to Farah and Tawny's problem with their former abusers and daddy dearest...I won't spoil the story but it will be dealt with in this book. Entertaining and satisfying sequel!****4.5**** fallen angel stars
