This book actually was a bit all over the place. I honestly thought it was the first book written by an amateur author. It felt like he tried to put too much into this one book. Seemed like no real planning, sort of like a bunch of short stories that didn't really connect in any way other than having the main character involved. Almost like he couldn't decide which story to make the main focus. It was good enough though that I kept reading and finished. Has me last intrigued to see what the other books by this author are like. Curiouser and curiouser....... WOW!! What a fantastic start to a new series! I love, love, LOVE this book! I really enjoy Allison's character in the Samantha Moon books so I figured I'd take a shot with this one. I'm so glad I did!! I can't say enough great things about it. This will have you on an emotional roller coaster right until the shocking end!! Definitely a must read for all J.R. Rain fans! If this is your first novel by him, it's a great place to begin!! I cannot wait for the 2nd one now!
