About book Don't Trust The Cut (2013)

whew...very good. the topic was addressed in a good way, loved it was painted in a realistic way not "fluffed up" and "all is well" ...I loved Jesse and Tucker the MC's in this emotional story...I loved his friends and how they "stuck" to him and loved Tucker with all his flaws...i would have like to have gotten a more background on why he became a cutter other than "spousal abuse". But Kade Boehme chose to do it this way..the end of Tucker coming to grips with his mental issues....to show possibly even "flawed" people can find love with mental issues...I liked this take the author took on this book. I only read one other by this auther" Trouble and the Wallflower which was totally different than this read but I enjoyed it as well. I would recommend this book totally and put Kade Boehme on the top of my automatic buy list. This story was completely different than what I was expecting. Did I enjoy it? There are two answers to that question. (1) Yes, the story is compelling and absolutely worth reading (2) this is not your typical M/M story and certainly not a light subject matter. And although I stumbled onto it through an M/M link, I don't think the M/M nature of the story is what is relevant to this story, the main characters just happen to both be men. Tucker is a broken soul with secrets and demons that make it difficult for him to trust and open himself up, but despite that he is a man you cannot but embrace, route for, cry for and shower with love. Jessie, is someone I disliked for more than a third-half of the book, which really isn't fair to him, since he too, is dealing with his own issues. But once Jess realizes who he is and what he wants, I quickly forgot that I wasn't his biggest fan. And Alison, well she is just amazing! This is the kind of story will stay with me long after I finished it. This is about how love, support, patience, understanding, staying power, friendship, empathy and compassion can help heal.

Do You like book Don't Trust The Cut (2013)?

Despite the slightly awkward and fumbling writing the story is a gem. Truly heartfelt.
