Buku ini prekuel dari How to Woo a Reluctant Lady, menceritakan tentang Charlotte Harris dan David Masters atau Lord Kirkwood. Karena saya lebih dulu baca cerita tentang adiknya David, Giles Masters di series Hellions, buku ini berasa seperti pelengkap cerita yang belum diungkapkan di novel tentang Giles-Minerva. Kisahnya juga lebih ruwet sih, imo. Di sini identitas cousin Michael terbongkar, plus apa sejarah hubungan Charlotte dan David yang dulunya sempet hampir tunangan 18 tahun lalu tapi putus gara-gara kecelakaan yang fatal bin tragis. Lalu juga ada pembunuhan istri David segala, di mana Mr Pinter muncul untuk pertama kalinya (tapi saya udah baca dia di series Hellions. Hihihi). Overall, keren banget! 4,5 bintang!(less) This is the sixth book in the series and the first book I read.An enjoyable read in which two fairly headstrong people try to find a place for their love. An extreme case of mistaken assumptions leading to a ruined love affair. Charlotte and Cousin Michael finally have a second chance at love and it was lovely to watch unfold.The passion between the two of them is still very strong and it's like lighting a fire over a very flammable wood pile. I quite enjoyed it.

This was a did not finish, ugh, hated the main heroine...and the writing was just sub-par.
