Do You like book Elephant Whisperer (2010)?
Cal NesvigMs.Peyman12/6/14SRP Book Review The Elephant Whisperer Book Review “The Elephant Shisperer” by Lawrence Antony tells the story of a nauturist formming an uncanny relationship with an intimidating African beast. As the story progresses, Lawrence’s life goes on, but the main point stays the same; as living and breathing individuals, we are all united as one. My, over all opinion of the book itself was intirely positive. I love how Anthony was able to create such a vivid picture of what seemed to be an unthinkable bond between man and nature. As the story begins, Lawrence Anthony exemplifyes his love for nature and wild life. Lawrence owns a wild life perserve which ne named “Zululand”. The story really kickstarts when the epehants he defined as “troublesome,” (pg.9) were givin to him with little to no warning. At first, Lawrence seems discouraged by asking questions like “why me” (pg.11) and “we are nto exactly the right fit for a heard of elephants” (pg.14), But ends up agreeing to the rahter insane proposition. When Lawrence is aproached with the thought of owning large “trouble some” tusked-beasts he wants to say no, but something causes him to say yes. As the plot progressed the reader-experienced larence’s heart-felt relationship with the mighty beasts of Africa. By the end of the story, you learn to care for the elephants just as much as Lawrence did. I loved the Elephant whisperer. By the end, I found myself wanting to read more. Lawrence Anthonyer was a rollmodel of his time and had a terrific story.

Of all the books I read in connection with a trip we took to Africa this year, this may be my favorite. Anthony, owner of a private game reserve in South Africa, accepts a rogue herd of wild elephants that had caused nothing but problems for previous game reserves. Things start out rough with the herd almost immediately finding a way to escape, but eventually they come to terms with their new home and new master who, in order to save their lives, becomes part of their family and allows them to become part of his. The book is funny, educational, moving, and surprising. I listed to the audible version and thoroughly enjoyed the extra dimension narrator's accent added.
