About book Elisha's Bones (2009)

Lately I’ve been drawn to the adventure/thriller-with-a-spiritual-flair genre. Elisha’s Bones fits that category! While I must admit the first 125 pages or so were spent in laying the ground work, I ALMOST got impatient with that. At one point I even considered putting the book down. That’s NOT to say it was boring! Religious archaeological finds, and the trauma leading up to acquiring them, presented a new kind of reading challenge for me. However, perseverance proved a just reward! As with most books of that genre, I traveled via pages through countries I’ll never visit, pondered spiritual questions, and experienced a thirst for further research. Making this journey all the more exciting were down-to-earth characters intent on reaching impossible goals while encountering unpredictable consequences – and a totally unexpected ending. Is this your thing? Then you won’t be disappointed! Great debut!and has me wanting to read more from the author... and Espy. Serilously, she was a great character... no spoilers! The globe trotting was interesting, the characters well constructed, the clishés blissfully avoided. A huge body count, true... but, even if I got peeved at some of them (why, o why did you have to kill them off???), I guess their untimely departure had a purpose...I just wonder if they were watched at all when they finally ... found a different ...erm... 'resting place' for the bones...o, and what ever happened to Mr Reese?

This was one of the freebie's that I have downloaded from Kindle and it was actually quite enjoyable

The story was good, but the ending was abrupt and really did not stay true to Archeology practices.

Not bad, parts were predictable, but I found myself really liking the main character!

Not bad at all, but a bit heavy-handed on the religious part ...
