About book Engelstanz: Dunkle Verlockung Teil 3 (2012)

A lovely addition to the Guild Hunter series. It is nice to know that our beloved Jessamy, who helped Elena adjust to the immortal world has someone to take care of her and to take care of. They make such an interesting couple, two opposites who form a whole! Like I said, lovely! Also, it was interesting to witness a bit of how things started out, because we see Raphael a century after he became a part of the Cadre, as well as young Dmitri and Bluebell ^^ I really like Jessamy. I’ve always wanted to know her story. She’s the librarian/historian/teacher of the race and watching her fine love was watching her find a journey back to herself. She’s been existing for thousands of years and lonely. She has a wing that doesn’t work the way intended and people view her with pity which she hates. So to protect herself from the opinions of others she withdrew into herself even though she’s engaged in a vital way with the rest of the angelic race. Most people don’t even view her as womanly, except Galen.Galen is intrigued by her from the first. He sees her as a woman and wants to get to know her, but he doesn’t feel sophisticated enough for her. They spend time together as friends and their relationship grows. I think that it’s a beautiful story. My one problem is that I didn’t view Jessamy as having a disability. There was this way that other people interacted with her that annoyed me, but then I realize that how able-bodied people interact with someone who has a visibly noticeable disability. So as much as I wanted Jessamy to perceive her inability to fly as not a disability, I understood why she did. I’m super glad that I had the opportunity to read her story.
