Is it weird to review a book by calling it weird? There were parts of this book I really enjoyed, but I felt like I was reading two different books. One clean romance and the other Sci-fi. Yes, some books go together like this, but for some reason, I just didn't think the two fit well. I like Evie and Calvin. I thought they were great but it was pretty much a tension free romance. It happened right at the beginning and then just had up and downs through out the book. On a side note my favorite part of the book was when Evie went to approach Calvin about the "red head" and she actually showed some spine. I like that in my leading lady. Over-all it kept my interest but I don't think I will read any of the rest of the series. An interesting story, though towards the end I found it a bit lacking, with the story seeming too descriptive and too long in some parts. My only other complaint is where did the boys get their powers from and how come their dad just suddenly disappears from the story line as soon as the boys get their powers? I loved how it altered from Evie and Calvin's POV, and can't wait to read the next book.
