About book Fate And Fury (2000)

I really liked this one. The final battle is exciting, though the good guys have it way to easy. And the proportion for casualties is disproportionate. Peri and Mona’s fights are interesting. They’re pretty much evenly matched. But all in all, well done. I love the interaction between the various couples as first the males are in the ‘in-between’, then rescued, then denied touch, then the females are incapacitated. They’re interesting lessons on social interaction between the sexes. It’s the the same with how each of the different packs responded to the ‘call’. Yay, Jacquie’s back. Well not so much back, but conscious. I’ve been missing her counteracting Jen’s quips. And I like Lilly. I can see where Jen gets it from. Though it seems Jen is contagious. All the other women and catching the sarcasm disease. And Sally as a gypsy healer is so cool. Her saving Cypher was fantastic. I do have some problems with her, suddenly, knowing more than Peri and Rachel, though thy have been around longer. And Cynthia is becoming superfluous. Also the attraction between Cyn and Thalion was a bit of a surprise, but going to be fun to watch. Though each of the males had problems after they were released from the ‘in-between’, it makes sense that Fang had the most since he was in there the longest. But he’s always been the calmest, most understanding, and modern of the bunch, so it should have balanced out. Maybe he’s been hiding his true nature and this was the last straw that broke him. I love Cypher and Lily together. I’ve been feeling bad for Lilly stuck by herself in America and hoping she’d have a reason to join the girls. But you still don’t want your mother handing around too close after you’re married, so this is perfect. She’s taking be mated to a wizard king awfully well though. Probably due to having a wolf lover, then her daughter being married to a wolf prince, but a Wizard? Quick Thoughts: 1)What’s with the big ‘Q’s that are at the beginning of the sections in the Kindle edition? 2)Why did the three stolen moonstones return back to Peri? They’re supposed to be semi-aware and do what’s right. 3) I like Cynthia singing and how each group member seems to has a special ’skill’ to contribute to the team. Fave scenes: the girls rescuing the males, the draheim battle, Rachel confronting the males on their holding back and Peri’s ‘solution’ and Sally and Costin’s wedding. OMG OMG OMG. This. It. What. GAH!!!! *deep breaths* Ok, I think I'm ok. Seriously...if you've made it this far in the series you're probably right there with me. I'm going to take a page out of Jen's book and say: Throw them a freakin bone! Those three besties and their mates have been through one hell after another and this book...THIS BOOK pushes them so hard. Bring the tissues ladies cuz you're gonna need them. By now you're so emotionally attached to the characters that when something happens to them you want to rage with them. If I had fangs and claws I'd be right there with them running to rip some evil witch apart. I could not put this book down! No really...just ask the bags under my eyes, they'll tell you it's the truth. You meet even more paranormals than the usual group of Fae and Wolves. You see more mated couples come together. All the side characters you love are involved and you find new ones that you will only pray get their own books too. You watch as they're tested to their very limits and try with ever fiber of their being to overcome all the enormous obstacles that are thrown at them. And let me just add for my own piece of mind that if Jen and Decibel do not get their HEA then I will take off my big girl panties and throw the hissy fit to end all hissy fits. Now if you'll excuse I'm going to forgo sleep and food to start AND finish the last book.
