Follow Follow is the second book to Mirror Mirror. It was also written by Marilyn Singer and illustrated by Josee Masse. This book has poems like Thumbelina, The 3 Pigs, Aladdin, and The little Mermaid. This collection of Poetry is all about fairytales. I really enjoy theses books. They are very cute and teach a good message about how sometimes you have to look at a situation 2 different ways. You can see the bad and good in everything. This is how I would teach this book in my poetry lesson. I believe that children will love these poems because they are stories they are familiar with. The poems do a very good job of summing up the fairytales! The illustrations are also impeccable as well!! Overall I would give this book 4 stars. Read these clever poems from top to bottom and they mean one thing. Then reverse the lines and read from bottom to top and they mean something else! Classic fairy tales including Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid and the Three Little Pigs are seen in a different light through this collection of fourteen sets of reverso poems. Singer's clever word play work with Masse’s bold acrylic illustrations give us a celebration of sight, sound and story in this new spin on classic tales.
