About book: I keep questioning myself: Why am I still following this series, despite being sorely disappointed by the first two installments? Oh, right. It was because a dear friend said she loves the last two volumes, and looking at reviews they do seem to be better. So I'm holding on. For now.Anyway, this book does a great job in making me dislike nearly all the characters. Keenan, Donia, and the lovesick Seth. Aislinn I've never liked since the first book, and it doesn't help AT ALL that she keeps on repeating the same mistake in this one—over and over and over again. This book is filled with a lot of interactions, and well… depending on your taste, that can be really interesting or really draggy. For me, it's the latter. I started this for the october 18th readathon, but ended up finishing it shortly after it had ended. What I really like about this series is that there is a whole host of supporting characters, well, characters that began that way in the first book. But with each novel we see things from a slightly different angle and so these characters grow until they all hold equal value, and we really start to understand more about them.I like where this book went, in some ways it was expected, but the delivery wasn't quite as I thought it would be. It was actually much more complex and I liked that the author didn't go for the easiest option available to her.I'm still hating on Keenan though. What an ass, seriously! Not sure I'll ever be feeling the love where he's concerned.
