Kevin needs to tread lightly over a tortured soul as well as protect her from getting hurt further.This book did not trip my trigger like her other books have. Too whinny again. Much too whiny this time. Serena was a hot mess and to me it was not a pretty look on a woman. She was a contradiction to the extreme. One minute to weak to take care of herself and the next demanding that Kevin leave her alone. Stating that she can take of herself and then getting into trouble. It was a turn off. Kevin on the other hand was so wrapped up in Serena it was another turn off. Double whammy in this book. The love scenes were fantastic and the writing was even better. I LOVE TRACY WOLFF!!!Her characters are usually full of emotional baggage, their HOT, usually frustrating as hell, sometimes full of themselves, definitely stubborn, and its freaking AWESOME to watch how how they fall!!!Kevin and Serena are no exception. Serena has survived a very traumatic past and has built some very high walls around herself. Kevin likes his life of solitude, but sparks fly when Serena comes to the bayou to photograph Kevin's work.This book has everything....HOT and I mean HOT sex scenes, violence, murder, action, twists and turns, and edge of your seat suspense. At times I was so frustrated I just wanted to scream and throw my kindle. I laughed, I cried, and loved every single minute of it.If you've never read any of Tracy's books than I recommend you not waste another minute thinking about it, just grab one of her books, sit back and enjoy the ride. Believe me you won't be disappointed.Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to take this awesome journey of love with Kevin and Serena. Thank you Tracy for giving me some unforgettable characters and for allowing me to get a glimpse of what lurks in your mind.
