Given To Me For An Honest ReviewErin Nicholas' book Getting Out of Hand: Sapphire Falls book one is a real must read. The main characters are Mason Riley and Adrienne Scott. They have nothing at all in common but as soon as they see each other the sparks fly. Mason left town and became a successful scientist. He was invited back as one of 5 investors in buying land that the town wants but the land belongs to his family. Adrienne Scott is a newcomer to the town. Due to a health scare she left her busy work schedule to live a life less stressful. As soon as she and Mason see each other the sparks fly. It doesn't matter that they come from two different backgrounds, love is love. I gave this book 5 stars but it really should have 10+ stars. I highly recommend it to everyone. I look forward to much more from Erin Nicholas. I like books about geeks and people with less than awesome people skills and this is a good one. Mason is a genius and somewhat socially awkward, but he's not stupid. At some points in the story it seems like the book is going to go in a really hackneyed direction, but mostly Mason is too on the ball to be fooled. There are several romance staples in here such as insta-attraction, the woman in love with her best friend (but hasn't mentioned it to him because it's not the right time) and the secret conflict of interest on the part of the heroine. I thought the story went in an unexpected direction and some characters aren't who you first expect them to be. It's truly amazing that this same author writes some of the absolutely worst romances I've ever read and some of the most enjoyable.
It was a cute, quick read. The characters were cute and it was low angst, which was nice.
