Very nice volume of two short holiday-ish (set at Christmas time, but really it could be anytime as Christmas plays no role in either story) erotic historical romance novellas. First I've read from Samantha Kane, but apparently she's prolific in the erotic historical genre and especially for m/f/m. I liked her take on the genre, easy on the historical side and a bit more modern with the erotica. For this novella there was not a lot of story, mostly sex. Also my first read from Kate Pearce, though I'm familiar with her longer series and have considered trying it. Her novella had a good backstory and some well-done erotic scenes. I enjoyed this small dose of both of these authors' writing style and will strongly consider seeking out some of their other works. This book has two stories and two interviews where the two authors interview each other.The Gift by Samantha KaneI love this story. The author is very good at describing the desperation, sorrow and love the characters go through. You can see them so clearly that you can feel them in your heart. I wish it would be a little longer.My Heart’s Desire by Kate PearceCaroline thinks she cannot be loved again because of the injuries she got in the accident where her husband died. But Jasper thinks the opposite as he himself loves her.A very nice story where you can see how love can change the lives of people.
This book had two short stories and I enjoyed them both. Quick read but very hot and steamy.
