This short story of a former quarterback returning to his high school town for a reunion of the football stars who made it to the pros is a decent read, unlike what some of the other reviewers will lead you to believe. When he returns a hometown girl who had a serious crush on him now gets her chance. And they certainly do make the most of the chance!While the sex scenes are quite hot, at times it seems a bit surreal. Climbing through windows? The woman's son just happened to leave his condoms behind? And the strangest part to me was that they got engaged then married so they could have sex without sneaking around or starting rumors when both of them were single at the time? It tried to sell as a romantic erotic story, but would have been better as just an erotic story geared toward men. With that in mind, I rated it at three because I really enjoyed most of the sexual scenes. Quickie story about an ex HS football quarterback,Cal Tate. He's heading up the committee to bring back the 4 other quarterbacks from previous years who've made a name for themselves. The committee is trying to raise money to renovate the bleachers, and what better way to attract people to donate - by bringing back these quarterbacks to their hometown. Melanie Anthony, mother of one of the quarterbacks is one of the assistant helping with this project. She's been lusting after Cal since high school and wants to finally have a chance at him. Cal finds himself asking Melanie out to dinner, they continue the evening by having sex (she found a box of condoms in her son's room, so they were good to go...*CRINGES*) and after a couple of weeks dating he proposes!This was 30 pages too long and makes you wonder who wrote this book? Understanding this was a "prequel" to the Gridiron Series, I wanted to read it first. It was really disappointing that an established author wrote this quick story. It was like reading a script of a really bad "B" movie. Warning: Don't bother.
