About book Il Dio Delle Anime (2009)

I guess I'd give this 3.5 stars. I think the first half was great. But I HATE time travel, unless it's just used simply like to go back in time and solve a mystery. This book dove right into all the paradoxes and other goobley gook that makes time travel so annoying. So minus a star for that and minus a star for that piece of crap Mr. Campbell called an ending. I have NO IDEA how the story ended. I guess everything worked out fine? He might as well have just ended it with "... and they all lived happily ever after."If you loved the 2nd book (and I did) and you're looking for closure (and I was) - just stop there. You'll get no closure with this book. It is fun but in the end it's like someone ripped out the last chapter. I enjoyed this conclusion to the trilogy I think the Campbell has created a really interesting and believable world. The series as a whole is slightly strange, not in a bad way, but the first book sets up for a storyline you don't expect at all. This book did drag in a few places it didn't have me as gripped as scar night did (my favourite of the trilogy) but had some good plot twists. The end was confusing a lot of time travelling that was hard to get your head around. The end was a bit disappointing, I wanted to know what happened to dill and Rachel mainly and it wasn't wholly explained, just kind of cryptic hints at further stories. This series is well worth a read for a refreshingly dark fantasy story that doesn't revolve around love as a plot driver.

Do You like book Il Dio Delle Anime (2009)?

The trilogy had some very interesting concepts at times... but it still wasn't very good.

Not thrilled, though it was better than Iron Angel. Not something I will read again.

one of the most bizarre things I have read in a very long time.

Interesting Trilogy. Keeps Re-Inventing what it is about.
