I can't begin to comprehend why he ended the book as he did. I really liked the first half of the book and would have given it 4 or 5 stars. Brooks must have been in a really bad mood when he wrote the last half. I happened upon this book and, therefore, read it even though it's the last in a series for which I haven't read the first. I'm told this is one of the lowest rated Brooks' books. This would have gotten 1 star if the first half hadn't been good. I still look forward to reading The Sword of Shannara which is supposedly much better. Il libro scorre bene, lo stile di Terry Brooks mi piace molto. Però in questo secondo e ultimo capitolo delle Leggende di Shannara è stata persa una grande occasione, perchè alcuni personaggi introdotti nel primo meritavano di essere approfonditi, serviva a questo fine almeno un terzo libro, invece ne sono stati fatti solo due (forse decisione imposta dall'editore), e così personaggi come Bonnasaint, Aislinne, la stessa Prue Liss, sono stati ridimensionati, alcuni davvero parecchio. Un esempio su tutti, Bonnasaint, nel primo libro il personaggio prometteva davvero bene, nel secondo muore come un cretino... meritava molto di più! Speriamo nei prossimi, non vorrei che il buon Terry abbia perso la magia.
