About book Just One Drop (2012)

I enjoyed this book, it wasn't as cheesy as usual but it was predictable as heck. It was clear that the "client" was going to be someone new to the series that nobody suspected and well it was just way too obvious for me. Jen's personality is one I can more relate to, she is sarcastic and witty, she uses her good looks to her advantage and would prefer to take care of her own. I loved that she actually tried to teach the pack males a lesson for their errors and that she is able to take care of herself. She's a stronger more forceful soul than Jaque's character and I can relate to her more in that sense. Her story with Decebel was an interesting one but I'm beginning to wonder when the author is going to change tactics because these girls constantly keep getting put in life threatening situations their over bearing men have to save them from. Also it often seems to involve some guy who isn't their "mate" trying to claim them as their mate. Anyway this review doesn't deter much from the other two book reviews. More spelling errors (hire and editor maybe) and clichéd story lines. I keep asking myself why I'm reading these novels but I think I'm enjoying them so I'm gonna read on. I love these girls, but I wish Jen would settle down a bit with the smart mouth. Maybe Decebel will settle her down? NOT! If anything their romance is too slap-dash. They go back and forth so much it’s either confusing or unbelievable. I think it’s partly because it’s in stuck in pieces between the three girl’s long R-rated, comedic dialogues. If the banter was fresh and clever more of it would be okay, but a lot of it is way too corny with too many American culture references. Hey, they are in Romania now, part of the Romanian pack. ‘When in Rome … There’s a lot of interesting plotting going on, but it’s almost pushed into the background. I’m glad Cynthia has been incorporated into the pack. Though what she did was wrong, she paid for by saving Jacque. She’ll be very useful. The whole Jacque meeting Tanya thing wasn’t played up well. And I’m also not happy with the cliff hanger ending, even though a few of the crisis were solved. This is definitely a 2-parter. Quick Thoughts: 1)What is this thing about not seeing the marks on your mates back? Especially in this modern age. Sounds like just a ploy to add drama to the storyline. 2)I don’t know who the idiot was that decided to have self-defense training as part of the ‘get to know you’ groups. That’s was just asking for trouble. 3)Is throwing clothes out the window the new ‘in’ prank? At least Jen’s didn’t get burned. Best scenes: Jen at the bar, Rachel’s story, Jen & Decebel dancing, the indoor garden and Sally discovering her heritage.

Do You like book Just One Drop (2012)?

Just One Drop by Quinn Loftis is book three of Prince of Wolves. Jacque, Jen, and Sally are headed to Romania, where the rest of the series takes place. PS: spoilers if you haven’t read earlier books in the series! Finally mated, Jacque and Fane are learning to live together. Jen and Decebel still can’t admit they’re attracted to each other. Sally is just trying to survive this transition. Jen’s just had the bomb of her heritage dropped, she’s got wolf blood!Oh, and it’s time for Mate Fest… the largest gathering of unmated wolves in centuries, and Jen has to attend. Thankfully, Sally and Jacque are going with her. But somehow, Jen’s got to keep a possessive Decebel under control because he can’t claim her without mating signs, and she doesn’t have any. Of course, the Gathering (the stuffy wolves’ name for Mate Fest) can’t just be easy. A behind-the-scenes plot to take over threatens the lives of a lot of the pack, and the girls have to stop it. The awesome dynamite that is Jennifer Adams reigns supreme in this episode, and she’s taken center stage with her normal sexy, saucy wit and drive-you-nuts charm. Jacque may be mated, but that doesn’t decrease her loyalty to her two best friends. Fane merges himself into their circle, and the girls meet a few other female werewolves. The plot escalates in this thrilling third installment of the Gray Wolves.

This series just keeps getting better. This was a great read and I loved getting to see more of the continuing story from Jen's perspective - she's a real piece of work. The writing still had some spelling and grammar issues, but overall was pretty good and has definitely improved since the first book. The characters were great and as highly entertaining as expected - I laughed a lot. The story did end on a bit of a cliffhanger so I'm looking forward to getting into the next book, Out of the Dark, asap.
