I enjoyed the way the author write (which is why this is 3 stars instead of 2), but I kept losing interest in the stories. It didn't help that this is a compilation of short stories. The fantasy aspect is good and was easy to follow. I guess I like Angels' Pawn and Angels Dance the most, since they seem to be the stories I remember the most. I will read this author again, but I think I need to find the right book for me. There are 4 short stories from the Guild Hunter series contained in this book.. all wonderful. Angels' Pawn, Angels' Judgment, Angels' Wolf and Angels' Dance, these stories fill in about characters who had minor roles within the series. I loved having their stories told to make this series feel more complete. Devotion and loyalty to not only their leaders and mates, but each other leave you feeling very good at the end of each story, and looking for the next one!!!

All four novella's are a must read. Beautifully written and made me wish it were a full novel.
