About book Le Voci Di Mia Figlia (2000)

Not a book I can rave about. The plot idea was good. But I felt the book was way too long. Too much flowery filling in of pages. Too much self-questioning by the protagonist. To the point where I wanted to grab her and shake her. Way too much naming of flowers and what was blooming here and there and flowering here and there. Often I got the impression that those flowers couldn't have actually flowered at that time of year at all. Snowdrops and tulips and narcissi all flowering at the same time in Ireland. I am not from there, but I doubt that very much. Same with a scene earlier in the book, it's cold and they all wear warm clothes, then find a glove someone lost in the street AND a catapiller!!!! Hello? A caterpillar in the street when it's cold enough for gloves? Not happening. They are long gone by then. Factual inaccuracies spoil the enjoyment for me.And the protagonist wasn't very likable at all. Very weak woman with no mind of her own and easily swooned by any old bloke she came across who smelled of cologne. ********Spoiler inside*********It was called The Drowning Girl when I found it at a book fair. I enjoyed it and spent one Sunday from 1-8pm reading the whole thing. I like the whole idea of reincarnation and I find it a fascinating topic.Grace annoyed me a bit but I like Sylvie. The ending took its time wrapping up but it didn't take away the enjoyment of this book for me.

Do You like book Le Voci Di Mia Figlia (2000)?

Do you believe in reincarnation? This book may just change that. A believable and moving read.

This book started strong but ended weakly and the romantic aspect was lame.
