I loved this book! It was dark, sexy, gripping and phenomenally written! I read 2 of the Fairfield Books, MaryAnn has written... and loved them... but this one I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!!You will fall for both Stoney and Annie. You will be sad, worried, in suspense and in love with the characters that you are gripped to the pages!Annie has a boring life. Her staff and animals at her Vet clinic is her life. That is until a man brings in a dog and forever changes her boring life.... Stoney is blank. He's a dark canvas crumbling in the dark but when he needs Annie's help... she brings something back into his life.... but what will happen to her's with him there?I loved Annie! I loved this woman so much! I loved her personality, the ability to love and care for her patients. She was trustworthy, sexy and just a humble person that I could see myself being friends with it real life. I also loved how she got Stoney... loved how she brought Sunshine in is dark life again... was amazing to watch these two together. Stoney... man... what can I say about this hot, alpha man?! He's sexy, brooding, dominating but man does he have a heart. You will truly fall in love with this dark, bad boy alpha! There are things you will be upset and worried about.... but man.. does he know how the swoon ya.. and have you lose your heart over him!I loved some of his swoon worthy lines"My sunshine.....Only light in my darkness." "Annie, there has never been another woman in my life that I've loved. No one. You are my the only one to have held my heart......." SWOON!Now you see why I fell in love with the sexy Stoney?I promise you will fall in love with the characters, their banter, the animals, vet staff and their families. There is drama, lies, omissions, secrets and danger that lurks inside the book as well.... "Love's Taming" is sexy, amazing, hot and amazingly written! I can't say enough about this book and the amazing ray of sunshine it gave me when I finished it! The ending made me smile and truly love the entire book!5 stars from me!I look forward to the next book in this series!! I can't wait!!! I finally had the chance to read Maryann Jordan !! I have heard so many great things so I jumped at the chance. First off I have to say I loved the storyline and the book itself , I struggled with a 4 or 5 star review. I hate that you can't click on a half star or 3/4 of a star. I look forward to reading more in this series and also reading her other series !!This story has all the great aspects of a good read for me and then some. Great sex , suspense , heartache , insecurity , twists and turns etc etc. So I am not always an insta love fan but it works in this story.The one thing that shocked me the most was that despite having these aspects as many books do the actual storyline was so different I have never read a book like this before !! Annie is a vet working at her own Veterinary office in town , living above it and sheltering herself with just a few friends and a boring life. She has her reasons for staying single and up until the mysterious man walks into her life by way of the dark alley behind her office she was satisfied with her life. Throwing caution to the wind she does things that she never thought she would. Annie's draw to Stoney is unexplainable but she has not felt this alive in so long she can't help but go for it. Stoney has a past , there is something going on with him and we may not know what it is but there ends up being some struggle in their relationship. Can Annie and Stoney find happiness with each other ?Initially Stoney was on a job , watching , scoping out the vet and Annie. He wasn't able to take his eyes off of her even when he realized she was not the vet to be watching. Stoney made a choice to involve himself with Annie and at first it seems crazy they are complete strangers and the reader can obviously tell that there is more to Stoney's story than Annie knows. But they have that draw and they cannot stay away. When Stoney's past and his job get in the way of getting to know Annie will she run from the jealousy and insecurities she feels or will they stick it out and have an HEA.While we are on the journey of Stoney/Shane and Annie's relationship we cannot forget the whole reason Stoney is in the area is to get intel on a case and hope to bring the criminals down and get back to his life. This is where the big differences came in. Puppy mills , drug smuggling , under cover cops , danger. If you are an animal lover be warned a few things may be upsetting to you. My only complaint would be that they call each other their pet names WAY TOO MUCH !! Not a big deal. Without giving things away I can just simply say READ THE BOOK , I definitely recommend it.
