About book Master Of None (2010)

This was a total borefest. The last two chapters were almost unreadable, they were so sappy and pointless. I don't think I would have blinked if any of the extremely obnoxious main characters died, actually, I would have, the book would have been better that way. The plot was super convoluted, to make up for the lack of character development and such. It was way longer than it needed to be, probably could have halved it and the plot wouldn't have suffered. The beginning was somewhat readable, so it's not quite a one star book, but I won't be going anywhere near the next book in the series. I enjoyed this book, it only had a touch of romance which I was glad of. I would have been able to picture the "hero" better if it had been in 3rd Person. I'm too accustomed to placing myself in the role when it's written in 1st. Even though it's main premise is similar to most books (boy loves girl but to have her must jump these hurdles first), it avoided becoming a book riddled with cliches and trying to find 100 words for penis. Though the "hero" said "crud" quite a bit, even at the same time as thinking in curse words. I thought it was weird.
