I was torn between three and four stars on this one. Similar to Jio's other novels, Morning Glory weaves history, romance, and a splash of mystery. Like the previous novels, this one also focused on a set of parallel stories that connected throughout the plot. I enjoyed this as a summer read -- why I wanted to give it four stars; however, this one wrapped up much too neatly -- the three stars... It would make a great Hallmark movie! I did enjoy the descriptions of the house boat community on Lake Union. In fact, that location is on my bucket list! This book was ok. Same theme as some of her others: lost child(ren), Seattle, escaping from NY. I also thought the narrator was too breathless. I was really annoyed at how often Ada assumed she knew what was going on. I wasn't clear if that was the fragile state of her emotions (completely justified) or just stupidity. I liked some of the characters. I thought the ending was really strange.
