About book O Meu Nome é Mina (2011)

Interesting concept of a story about a young girl who sees the world differently than those around her as she struggles to fit in to the education system. I think that children who feel out of place in traditional education systems might really like Mina's story. I preferred The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate for children's stories about non-traditional education and The Signature of All Things by Liz Gilbert for a tale written for adults. I just couldn't like is book.I don't know if it's necessary to read the rest of the series before you read is prequel but I didn't t really understand what I was reading half the time and although I found the different ways of writing fun and interesting I soon got tired of Mina's quirkiness. Not in a mean way I liked her character but sometimes to me it felt false and I didn't understand her. As a reader I couldn't get close and personal to the characters as I really like to do when I read books so this was a no no for me.

Do You like book O Meu Nome é Mina (2011)?

IT was a great book. But it was only 3 chapters in that I was aware it was a prequelle to Skellig.
