About book One Night In London (2011)

Loved this series, but I decided to read books 2 and 3 before I read book one, because I was convinced that I was going to dislike Edward. If I hadn't liked the other two books so much, I would have never read this book at all. The cover is just irritating. That girl looks like she wants someone to spank her. What I ended up liking about this particular book the most was how it depicted how it really feels to fall in love. The first couple of weeks everything is so intense, but in the back of your mind you know that at some point the relationship is going to face reality and you wonder how things are going to play out.My only criticism is that Edward seems to drop the task about his father's marriage at the end. All of the sudden dropping it like that made me question if he ever really cared at all, which didn't ring true. However, because I had read the other two books and knew how it turned out, it didn't bother me at all. "I was well aware that my family fortune would have save the Halstons from any hardship and their properties from neglect and decay, and Louisa never would have distracted me from the ledgers.""you loved her""Because i hadn't met you.""I wished you had come to me today..."He paused. "You told me not to come.""I know," she said, "but i wanted you anyway. I wished you had broken down my door and made love to me until i forgot i was angry with you."A flicker of unease darkened his eyes. "I'm not that sort of man, Fracesca.""I know--that's why I came to you, because I am that sort of woman." She smile coyly as desire flared in his face.
