About book Paul Is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion (2010)

This reminded me of 'World War Z' but with lots of humour. Set in today's world with our history, the only exception being the acknowledged existence of zombies. John, Paul and George are zombies and Ringo is a ninja. Some zombies in this 'reality' don't require many brains to continue being undead and so aren't as feared as your typical zombies tend to be. They also aren't as scary. It was a good read, just not exactly my cup of tea. I bought this as an audiobook. I really liked what they did with the various voices to distinguish the main narrator from the interviewees and the interviewees from each other. It was a very interesting and amusing concept: the Beatles were zombies! The whole thing is done as a mockumentary. I don't know much about the Beatles, but I strongly suspect that the author closely followed the actual timeline surrounding the actual group in question. Were I a Beatles fan, I probably would have loved this! I still got a chuckle out of it here and there, especially when one zombie or another rips off one of their own limbs to beat someone else about the head with it. And then Yoko Ono and Ringo Starr are ninjas? How funny is that?!

Do You like book Paul Is Undead: The British Zombie Invasion (2010)?

Complete and utter disgusting hilarity. And darn accurate, well mostly, except for Ringo.
