seri ini lebih cerah auranya daripada yang pertama. dua pemeran utamanya meski sama-sama baru saja bersedih karena kehilangan orang tercinta masih tetap bisa melakukan petualangan seru mencari harta warisan dengan tangan diborgol. dalam petualangan mereka timbul kilas balik masa lalu mereka dan meluruskan kesalah pahaman mereka.dua orang tampan dan cantik tapi sama2 bangkrut berusaha mencari harta warisan dengan harapan meneruskan hidup dengan lebih baik. diwarnai dengan kesalahpahaman, percekcokan dan tentu saja benih2 cinta. 4/5 clever stars!Kayla and Darren both come from shitty families, that is evident. They both realize it yet their stories aren't told in a way that seems like they're looking for pity - which is something that I really like. While you do feel sorry for them, it's not as if they're expecting you to feel that way. They both realize that they've just been dealt a shitty hand and they work hard to figure out how to get through it all. That being said, I really like both of them - especially Kayla. She was a great female main character who was funny, tough on the outside yet caring on the inside, and just a great person in general. Darren was a good guy as well - pretty much a self proclaimed man whore, but deep down he was caring and even though he might use girls for sex you could tell he still treated them right.The banter between Kayla and Darren was great and it had me smiling and laughing the entire time. When you weren't doing either of those two, you were feeling the sexual tension between them. The storyline was great - Kayla and Darren being handcuffed together and sent on a scavenger hunt to try and track down money that was left behind by Kayla's deceased father. Trying to figure out the clues bring back old memories for the both of them and help uncover things about their pasts (mainly Kaylas) that allow the reader to learn more about their backgrounds. The alternating point of view allows us to get inside the heads of both of the characters and that give us insight as to what both of them are thinking. Definitely a clever and witty book that was a joy to read! I can't wait for the next one in the series.
