My all time favourite children's book! I read the Dutch version ("Pluk van de Petteflet") when I was younger and to date it is the only book I have read more than once. Enjoy pluck's adventures and endeavours with him, with the funny characters he meets and odd places he sees. Pluck also learns a thing or two about important things in life, such as friendship and trust. All this is accompanied by amazing drawings by Fiep Westendorp to really get your imagination flowing.I am going to buy the English version so I can enlighten my friends and their children here, and I also can't wait to read it again myself :)So many good memories of reading this book! Een tijdloos kinderboek met een hele resem memorabele personages. Alles in een overkoepelend verhaal, maar je kan elk hoofdstuk ook weer apart (voor)lezen.De heldere taal en het haast ongeëvenaarde verteltalent van Annie M.G. Schmidt maken dat dit veertig(!) jaar oude boek nog heel fris aandoet. De illustratie van Fiep Westendorp hebben ook nog niets van hun glans verloren en zouden net zo goed vandaag gemaakt kunnen zijn.
