Ronie Kendig is an amazing writer. I have read most of her books and she keeps amazing me with her knowledge and character development. There’s no dull moment in her writing – ever. She takes the reader to the war zone and makes them feel they are there and see everything happening in front of their eyes. The military heroes are believable and deal with serious issues. The characters are not spared from horrible things happening to them. Raptor 6 has a believable storyline and everything that I mentioned. I highly recommend this book. Fooled into reading this trash. "Sonofa biscuit!"This book was offered for free on Amazon and after hastily checking the ratings on goodreads (4.3 avg), I got it and started reading. In retrospect, reading the actual reviews MAY have saved me some time and eye rolling, but probably not.First, the trying-to-be-PC disclaimer. This is Christian fiction. I don't know how it is perceived by Christians (although 4.3 avg rating is telling), but if you are not of that persuasion, be forewarned. While "God" innocuously slips in a few times in the first half, the latter part of the book is littered with the "I just know He has a plan for me..." hand-wringing.This is not what made me give this book a 2/5 (really 1.5/5) rating -- to each, his/her own. The truth of the matter, the book is garbage. It is trite, cookie-cutter, over-the-top soap-opera-style melodramatic trash. Full of underdeveloped, predictable, made-in-China-for-American-television characters, who had me cringing with each line of their pathetic "dialogue".To be perfectly honest, I am a little sad. While not exactly mind-bending, the condensed plot wasn't bad, and the ending left me curious. Not curious enough to touch any of the sequels, but curious.
