About book Raziel (Fallen (2011)

Good to find an angel series for adults. I really liked the world that the author created, it feels fresh and interesting and you can really picture the world where they live. It's a very visual book - descriptive but not overly wordy. The romance aspect is slightly different to your usual mated/fated romance. It's certainly not insta - love and the "mine" aspect comes very late in the story. What you do get is shed loads of sexual tension between two people who don't really like each other but majorly lust after each other. The sex scenes are steamy but don't come for a while. There's definitely a slow build, but there's enough going on with the story in general to keep you hooked. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that I feel like there needed to be more of an emotional connection between them. There needed to be a bigger emotional payoff at the end. But it was a good book, I did like the characters and I would probably read it again. On reflection after reading the end again I feel that there is emotion there - maybe not enough for my own personal taste - but it is there and it's at an appropriate level for the character of Raziel. He is a cool, aloof character and he was never going to gush with emotion or spout pretty words. He does however get across to the reader that he does feel deeply for Allie - he just fights it to the end. Stuart. There really is no one better regardless of genre, regardless of whatever name she uses, for alpha male bad'ish Heros that fall for 1 woman. Read book 1 last and while it spends more time than the rest of the series on the premise of the Fallen, the lovestory was excellent and, as I often do with Stuart (and Ashley)' had me crying like a little girly girl repeatedly as an outlet for emotion. I hope the series continues since I'm caught up through book 4. Stuart is like the Agatha Christie of romantica.

Do You like book Raziel (Fallen (2011)?

A very good beginning to a series. The mythology of the fallen angels and the wrath and coldness of Uriel was very well written and twisted in the story. Raziel and Allie were great. Fighting the pull til the very end. A little heart wrenching with the main battle, and the loss of some of the wives, but I was glad when Allie kicked the traitor's ass. Defunutely going to read the next book..especially with the cliffhanger that got sprung at the end of this one.

I really am digging the female characters in this series. Love strong females! Allie was a character you couldn't help but fall in love with. Not a lot of whining with this one! Together she, and Raziel were insanely stubborn after they figure it out, it's beautiful! This is an interesting read, with a diff twist on fallen angels. I've started the second book, Demon and liking it so far, as well.
