About book Saga, Volume 4 (2014)

This volume seems to be a bit more muted and calm than the previous ones, at least as far as plot and pacing. It takes a look at home life, in a few ways, about the families that were built in previous volumes and how they get on. I loved it for that theme. I loved it because the previous kick ass characters we've met are struggling with issues like a dead end job and being a stay at home parent and sickness of someone they love or dealing with death and etc. I think part of what stops me from going full out five stars, all the capslock and exclamation points with these is how short they feel. I truly feel like we're getting fed this story at an almost painful speed. It might be okay with other readers, but I end up feeling rather frustrated and sometimes what we do get told feels like filler in a medium where every word and page counts for so much. Vaughan's dialogue and narration continues to be fantastic. Baby Hazel 4eva. I don't think anything I can say about this volume of Saga will get somebody to read it. Saga has been really strong the whole way through and this volume is no exception. I have to say that shit gets real here folks. It gets so real.I don't want to spoil anything so I won't say anything else. If you love comics and you aren't reading this yet what are you doing with your life? If you don't read comics and you aren't reading this yet I ask the same to you. Its fabulous get on that.
