Book 9 in the Masters of the Shadowlands series.Just when I thought the Shadowlands series was over, I find this book. What a relief, I was so sad at the thought of it being over. Still need another one though.Rainie and Jake's story is fresh and emotional. Rainie is a sexy, inventive prankster who dragged herself out of the gutter. Well not that bad, but she has class issues that affect her standing. In her eyes only though. Jake really likes Rainie, and has no idea where she grew up or what she did to survive. He just needs her to pick him as her Dom. Well I am a huge fan of Cherise Sinclair and have read all her books.So i was a little disappointed.What i liked about this book was to be able to meet all my favorite people all over again...But both the MCs seemed like other characters in the series..I mean it felt very repetitive to me.i hate to say this but even the dialogues felt like i have read them before a thousand times..So overall a disappointment
Too bad Jake Sheffield didn't get a full book because he is one hot Dom!
